Demon Doings
DePaul is 1-0-4 in 2025 and boasts an unbeaten record through its first five matches of a season for the first time in program history. The Blue Demons are two days removed from a gutsy 1-1 draw versus crosstown foe UIC in which the equalizer came in the waning moments of the match off the boot of Keagan Pace.
Pace has been a bright spot for the Blue Demons with four goals this season, scoring in each of the last four matches. The junior forward's season total leads the BIG EAST and ranks fifth in Division I. Pace also leads the Blue Demons in points (8), shots (15) and shots on goal (8).
As a team, DePaul has had nearly triple the amount of corner kick opportunities compared to its opponent with a 43-15 ledger on the season. The Blue Demons are averaging 17.0 shots per match while holding opponents to 11.2 per contest. Redshirt-junior Ethan Gordon has played a large role in the defensive continuity, logging all 450 minutes of the season thus far. The center back has added two assists as well.
Senior goalkeeper made the first start of his career between the pipes versus UIC, making a career-best three saves on the outing. Sophomore forwards Daniel Hickiewicz and Jayden Waski each recorded a career-high in shots against the Flames, totaling five and three, respectively. Waski provided the assist to Pace on the late equalizer, his first helper of 2025 and third in his young career.
Scouting Loyola
The Ramblers come into Sunday's match unbeaten with a nearly identical record to the Blue Demons at 1-0-3. On Thursday, Loyola drew with Wright State 2-2 thanks to a late equalizer from Daniel Firs in the 84th minute.
