DePaul Hosts Eastern Michigan for a Friday Foray into XS Tennis

Women’s tennis (5-3) takes on EMU (6-3) for all-time decider
CHICAGO – Fresh off consecutive wins, DePaul women's tennis looks to ride the momentum Friday, Feb. 13, when Eastern Michigan comes to Chicago's XS Tennis Village. The 12:30 p.m. CT match marks the start of the Blue Demons' midseason stretch.
Missouri women's tennis was also slated to face off against DePaul on Saturday, in the Natalie Matko Jackson Alumni Match, but the fixture was rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 12:00 p.m. CT. The bout will still be held at XS, and the Friday, Mar. 6 meeting vs. UIC will now be the official Alumni Match.

For the second week running, junior Sasha Stula won BIG EAST Singles Player of the Week, having gone 2-0 on the No. 1 court against Toledo and Georgetown last weekend. Those results took her to 17-7 on the season, leading DePaul in 2026 singles win percentage. Just behind her is DePaul's frequent No. 2 player Hannah Smith, sitting at 13-7 on the season.
At the top doubles position, Smith has been accompanied by Clara Nilsson all season. The pair is currently pacing the Blue Demons' with a 5-3 record.
Rubber Match
The battle between the Eagles and Blue Demons marks the seventh all-time, with the series tied up at 3-3. The duel comes at a crossroads for each program, with DePaul victorious in five of its last six, and Eastern Michigan looking to bounce back after three consecutive defeats. DePaul is 6-1 against MAC opponents since 2020, and the Eagles are 1-3 against BIG EAST foes in the same timeframe.
