Blue Demons welcome Flames for first of two meetings this season

CHICAGO – DePaul softball hosts UIC at Cacciatore Stadium on Tuesday, March 24, for the first of two meetings between the teams this season.

First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed live on Marquee Sports Network, and live stats can be followed here. Admission at Cacciatore Stadium is free for all fans.

Demon Doings

DePaul enters at 12–18 overall with a 3–6 BIG EAST record after dropping a series at Providence last weekend.
The Blue Demons have totaled 222 hits this season, the third most in the BIG EAST.
Four DePaul hitters are batting above .300, led by Jolie Adams at .403, followed by Chelsea Parker at .376, and Morgan Rogers and Emersyn Coulter at .367 each.
Hannah Messer continues to pace the pitching staff with a 4.05 ERA.
DePaul ranks second in the BIG EAST and 35th nationally with 52 stolen bases.

Scouting UIC

UIC is 14–15–1 overall with a 4–5 record in Missouri Valley Conference play after taking two of three games from Drake last weekend.
The Flames have three hitters batting above .300, led by Cameran Rios at .362, followed by Sam Tourtillott at .338 and Siena Stickney at .306.
Jasmine Whorley leads the pitching staff with an 11–7 record and a 4.33 ERA.
Megan Coronado, a 2014 DePaul alum, is in her first season as head coach of the Flames.

Series Stuff

DePaul leads the all-time series against UIC 56–28.
DePaul swept both meetings against UIC last season with one win at home and one on the road.
The Blue Demons have won seven-straight games against the Flames.
