DePaul Softball Hosts Butler for Final Home Series of 2026

Blue Demons play final series at Cacciatore Stadium this season
CHICAGO – DePaul softball closes out its final homestand of the 2026 campaign this weekend, hosting Butler for a three-game BIG EAST series at Cacciatore Stadium April 24-26.
First pitch on Friday is set for 1 p.m. CT, followed by a 12 p.m. start on Saturday and a 12 p.m. first pitch in Sunday's home finale. The Blue Demons will celebrate Alumni Day on Sunday.
All three games will be streamed live on ESPN+, with live stats available here. Admission to Cacciatore Stadium is free for all fans.
Demon Doings
- DePaul enters the weekend with an 18-25 overall record, including a 6-12 mark in BIG EAST play.
- The Blue Demons carry a three-game win streak into the weekend and have won six of their last seven games, highlighted by a 6-5 victory over Illinois State on Tuesday.
- Sophomore first baseman Chelsea Parker leads the team with 13 home runs after a two-homer performance on Tuesday, marking the highest total by a Blue Demon since 2022 and ranking third in the BIG EAST this season.
- Junior outfielder Morgan Rogers recorded her 13th double of the season against Illinois State, the most in the BIG EAST.
- Senior right-hander Bella Nigey struck out four batters on Tuesday, bringing her team-leading season total to 53 strikeouts.
- DePaul's 63 stolen bases rank second in the BIG EAST and are the program's highest total since 2011.

- Butler holds a 20-17 record this season with an 11-7 mark in BIG EAST play.
- The Bulldogs rank third in the BIG EAST with a .302 team batting average and sit second in the conference with a .403 on-base percentage.
- Junior Makena Alexander leads both Butler and the BIG EAST with a .448 batting average.
- Katie Petran paces the Bulldogs' pitching staff with an 8-6 record and 51 strikeouts this season while owning a 4.85 ERA.
- Head coach Scott Hall is in his 16th season at the helm of the Butler program.
Series Stuff
- DePaul holds a narrow 19-18 advantage over Butler in the all-time series.
- In the most recent meeting, the Blue Demons dropped their series against the Bulldogs in Indianapolis last season.

The Blue Demons will begin their final road swing of the season in South Bend, Ind. with a nonconference matchup against Notre Dame on Wednesday, April 29. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT and will be streamed on ACC Network.
