Harry Named to BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll

CHICAGO - DePaul junior forward Katherine Harry was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll it was announced on Monday by the league office. The honor comes after Harry averaged 14.5 rebounds and 17.0 points in DePaul's two games last week.
The Columbia, Missouri native earned her first career weekly honor roll accolade after setting a new McGrath-Phillips Arena record with her 20 rebounds against No. 14/12 Louisville on Jan. 31. Harry became the first Blue Demons since the 2006 season to record 20 rebounds. Against Louisville, Harry also added 14 points, four blocks and dished out a career-high six assists.
At No. 2/2 Notre Dame, Harry paced the floor with nine rebounds while she tied a career-high with 20 points.
On the week, Harry was 15-for-24 (.625) from the field and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line. She averaged 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
Harry enters DePaul's game vs. Villanova with 706 career rebounds which ranks ninth all-time. The junior needs six rebounds to tie Caprice Smith for eighth.
Syracuse's Iasia Hemingway earned the League's Player of the Week while Villanova's Lauren Burford was tabbed the Freshman of the Week.
DePaul (17-7, 5-5 BIG EAST) hosts Villanova on Wednesday, Feb. 8. The 7 p.m. BIG EAST contest will air on Lakeshore Public Television with Dave Bernhard and Trish Babcock-McGraw calling the action.
