Georgetown Intercollegiate -- Final Results
BEALLSVILLE, Md. - The DePaul golf team finished its fall season at the Georgetown Intercollegiate on Tuesday. Playing at The Members Club at Four Streams, the Blue Demons finished in a tie for eighth with William and Mary, and freshman Jonathan Hewett tied for 10th.
Hewett started the day in a tie for 17th place but used a two-under 69 to climb the standings. The final 18 was a season-low for the Clacton-on-Sea, England native, besting his first round score of 71.
The freshman tied with Wilson McDonald from No. 9 UAB. Both finished the two-day, three round tournament three-over (216). McDonald's teammate, Paul Dunne won the tournament and shot four-under (209). UAB won the competition with a tournament record five-under 847.
Jan Juelicher capped off his tournament with a final round of 75. The junior shot a season-best 224 en route to a tie for 24th place. Moritz Ackerhans carded a final round of 76, giving him a 226 for the three rounds, and finished in a tie for 34th place.
Adrian Halimi carded a final round of 79. He set a season low for 54 holes with a score of 228. James Lelliott ended his first fall season with a final round of 77. The freshman recorded a tournament score of 231.
The Blue Demons have the next three months off before they head to Santee, Calif. for the Carlton Oaks Invitational at Carlton Oaks GC. This two-day event runs from Feb. 10-11.
