FULLERTON, Calif. - The DePaul softball team was held in check as it fell in its first game of the Easton Tournament to Charleston Southern, 4-2. The Blue Demons (6-13) were paced offensively by Kali Gardner and Angela Scalzitti, who each picked up two hits.
Charleston Southern (17-11) got on the board early as it pushed across two runs in the home half of the first inning from a two-out single.

In the bottom of the fourth, the Buccaneers went back on top as the home team scored one run from a throwing error by DePaul.
