Golf in Fourth Place After Day One at Winter Intercollegiate

BEAUMONT, Calif. - The DePaul golf team is in fourth place after two rounds of action at the UC-Riverside Winter Collegiate at the Oak Valley Golf Club on Monday.
Freddy Thomas, Adrian Halimi and James Lelliott have all positioned themselves in the top 15 heading into Tuesday's final round.
Freddy Thomas leads DePaul and is in fourth place. The sophomore fired rounds of 71 and 75 and is six strokes off tournament leader Brandon Bauman (-4) from UC Santa Barbara.
Halimi is +6 (73, 77) and is in a four-way tie for 10th place. James Lelliott (+7) is in a trio of players locked in a tie for 14th.
Jonathan Hewett carded rounds of 75 and 79 and is plus-10 after 36 holes.
Charles Spencer-White (+16) and Bobby Thomas (+24) round out the Blue Demon contingent in California.
The Blue Demons (+25), who entered the second round at the top of the leaderboard, are eight strokes behind tournament leader UC Santa Barbara, who are +17 for the tournament. UC Irvine (+22) and Eastern Kentucky (+24) are both ahead of DePaul in the team standings.
