North Dakota State Blanks Softball 18-0

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The DePaul softball team ended its time at the Easton Crimson Classic with a 18-0 loss to North Dakota State Sunday afternoon at Rhoads Stadium in Alabama.
DePaul (3-12) finished the Classic with an overall 1-4 record. North Dakota State (11-8) put up 18 runs in five innings.
The Bison pulled ahead quickly in the first inning with four runs. NDSU scored again in the second, but its final two innings were the most potent. The Bison scored eight runs in the third and five in the fourth. NDSU scored its final two runs courtesy of a two-run homer, the teams third of the game.
DePaul utilized Morgan Maize and Megan Leyva in the circle. Maize (3-7) recorded the loss and pitched for one inning. Leyva pitched for three. Maize allowed four hits, four of them earned. Leyva allowed nine hits, eight of them earned.
The Bison's Jacquelyn Sertic (3-7) pitched a no-hitter. She struck out four and walked one.
DePaul returns to Lincoln Park in preparation for the Rebel Classic in Las Vegas Mar. 10-12. At the Rebel Classic, the Blue Demons are set to face UNLV, Utah State, Valparaiso and Santa Clara.
