CHICAGO - While the men's soccer team hosts Butler on Saturday, DePaul's women's soccer team will travel to Indianapolis to square off with the Bulldogs on Sunday. First touch will be at 1:00 p.m.

Last Time Out
After falling behind 2-0 against Xavier Sunday, DePaul managed a comeback scoring two goals within just four minutes of each other to force double overtime. A contentious call led to a penalty kick for the Musketeers in the 104^th minute, giving them the win, 3-2. Xavier started off the scoring for the game, finding the back of the net first, scoring in the 48^th minute and then in the 64^thminute. The DePaul offense picked up in the second half and it showed. Madeline Frick scored in the 71^st minute to cut Xavier's lead in half, 2-1, for her fourth goal of the season off a ball from Jackie Batliner. Four minutes later, Franny Cerny netted her seventh goal of the season in the 75^th minute with an assist from Jessica Lazo. After playing to a scoreless first OT period, a handball in the box led to a penalty kick for the Musketeers for the win.

About Those Blue Demons (6-5-3, 2-2-1 BIG EAST)
Captain Franny Cerny leads the team in goals (7), points (16) and SOG (30) and has two assists in starting all 14 games. Right behind her is Morgan Turner with five goals, two assists and 12 points and behind her is Madeline Frick with four goals, two assists and 10 points. Avery Hay has three assists under her belt. Goalkeeper Mollie Eriksson has garnered 44 saves on the season with five shutouts and a save percentage of 0.772. The Blue Demons currently sit tied for fourth in BIG EAST standings along with Xavier, St. John's and Providence.

Scouting the Bulldogs (3-1-1, 9-4-1 BIG EAST)
Butler sits second in the BIG EAST despite recording their first loss to St. John's last week. The game-winner for the Red Storm came in the 51^st minute after the Bulldogs tied the game up in the 21^st minute. Paige Monahan leads her squad in assists (5) and has nine points with two goals. Anja Savich sits first amongst her teammates in goal count with seven on the season. In the goal, Hanna Luedtke posts a 0.57 goals against average, good enough for second in the conference.

2017 Matchup
The DePaul women's soccer team picked up its sixth point in BIG EAST play on Sunday afternoon as the Blue Demons managed a 1-1 double overtime draw with Butler at Wish Field on Senior Day. Butler jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the third minute when Kyra Cooke found Caitlyn Disarcina charging down the right edge of the pitch and pushed a pass towards Disarcina who tapped a right-footed shot from the right side of the six into the lower left corner of the net. While the Bulldogs led DePaul 1-0, the Blue Demons surged back 14 minutes later to tie the match at 1-1. Junior Franny Cerny intercepted a defensive clearance by Butler's Annika Schmidt and charged to left side of the box. In one swift motion, Cerny stepped to her left and fired a left-footed blast into the lower right corner to knot the match. Cerny's score was her eighth goal of the season, tying the Berkeley, Calif. native with Amanda Carolan of Georgetown for the BIG EAST lead in goals.
