The Blue Demons fall to Villanova in four sets.

Philadelphia, Penn. – The Blue Demons dropped in four sets to conference foe Villanova 1-3 (13-25, 11-25, 25-23, 25-17).

Villanova jumped out to the first point of the set and DePaul responded with back-to-back Emma Price kills to bring it to 2-2. Villanova would then jump into a comfortable lead that would only continue to grow as they took the first set by a difference of 25-13.

The first four points switched between sides as the second set binded at 2's, however, Villanova would go on a 7-0 run to take an 8-2 lead. Villanova would go on to take the second set 25-11.

DePaul acquired the first point on a Claire Anderson service ace and the next eight points would exchange to knot up the score at 4-4 before an Emma Price kill and a Katie Dolan service ace would put the Blue Demons up 6-4. DePaul went on a 3-0 run courtesy of a service error, a Natalie Hayward service ace and an Anderson kill to continue the DPU lead 12-7, forcing a Villanova timeout. DePaul would hold the lead and go on to take the third set 25-23.

Villanova jumped out to a 4-2 lead and would hold the lead for the remainder of the stanza to take the fourth set 25-17.
