SOUTH BEND, Ind. - DePaul men's soccer fell to Notre Dame Tuesday evening after a last minute goal by the Irish at Alumni Stadium. The Blue Demons fall to 4-5-1 overall and remain at 0-1-1 in conference play.
While the Irish outnumbered DePaul in shots, 18-2, and corner kicks, 12-1, the Blue Demons put up a fight until the very end.
It looked as if Notre Dame would take a 1-0 lead early on putting the ball in the net, but the Irish were called offsides and the match would remain deadlocked at zeroes until the 89th minute.
A handball at the top of the box with 15 seconds left on the clock led to a free kick goal by Notre Dame's Felicien Dumas with eight seconds remaining.
DePaul keeper Drew Nuelle made three saves on the night. Jake Fuderer and Jacob Seeto each fired off a shot a piece.
Three players put up three shots for the Irish, including Dumas.

DePaul returns to Lincoln Park and Wish Field to resume conference play and host No. 5-ranked Georgetown in a 2 p.m. contest.
