Men's Soccer to Face Providence Saturday for Alumni Day

CHICAGO - DePaul men's soccer (4-5-3, 0-1-3) will host Providence on Saturday in conjuction with Alumni Day in a slated 3 p.m. matchup on Wish Field. The match will take place following the end of the women's soccer match against Seton Hall.Â

SCOUTING THE FRIARS
Providence sits 8-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play, their two wins coming against Seton Hall and Marquette. They sit third in BIG EAST standings. Joao Serrano leads the team in goals with five and sits second in assists on the team with three. Esben Wolf has notching a team-leading four assists. The Friars have five players with multiple goals this far into the season. Austin Aviza has been a mainstay in goal for Providence, netting 23 saves and owns a goals against average of 0.94.Â
SERIES STUFF
The all-time series sits in favor of Providence, 4-1-3. Last season, DePaul defeated the Friars 2-1 in double overtime when Jake Fuderer scored the game-winner in the 107th minute.Â
