
DePaul Blanks Seton Hall, 4-0

CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer took a commanding 4-0 victory over Seton Hall on Saturday afternoon on Wish Field. The Blue Demons improve to 6-6-3 overall, 3-2-1 in conference while the Hall falls to 1-11-1 overall.Â
Things got started early for DePaul with Morgan Turner's sixth goal of the season in the 10th minute off a ball from Jackie Batliner to take a 1-0 lead. The Blue Demons would earn a corner kick in the 17th minute and following a bit of a scramble in front of the goal, Jade Eriksen-Russo was able to get the ball through the cluster and into the back of the net to double the lead, 2-0.Â
DePaul would earn another corner kick in the 25th minute where Turner would notch her second goal of the match, seventh of the season and Batliner would tally her second assist to put the Blue Demons up 3-0. An additional corner kick allowed DePaul to take a 4-0 lead when Bina Saipi headed the ball into the top corner of the net for her second of the season and final of the match, prompting a goalie change from the Hall.Â
Blair Currie would make four saves before Harpa Johannsdottir took over, notching one save.Â
DePaul would outnumber Seton Hall 15-3 in shots, 7-1 in corners and 9-2 shots on goal. Mollie Eriksson made just two stops in goal for the Blue Demons.Â
