SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Butler (6-3-1) currently sits second in the BIG EAST in seven categories: shots, points, goals, GPG, assists, APG and corners. The Bulldogs' Amanda Kowalski was tabbed BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week while Stephanie Rodriguez earned her fourth shutout of the season. Katie Soderstrom leads the Bulldogs with four goals and seven assists. Anja Savich has six goals for Butler so far this season. Rodriguez owns a 0.97 goals against average and a 0.750 save percentage. Butler earned a 3-0 victory in their BIG EAST opener against Seton Hall.Â
SERIES STUFF
The Blue Demons head into this matchup owning a 4-2-2 advantage in the series. Three of the four wins have come on Wish Field.Â
SCOUTING THE RED STORM
St. John's (3-7-0) fell to Providence in their league opener, 4-0. Zsani Khajan leads the team in scoring with four goals that total eight points, with three other goal scorers on the team. Six different members of the team have notched an assist. Goalkeeper Naya Lipkens has played in 10 matches for the Red Storm, recording 47 saves. She has a 0.758 save percentage to go with a goals against average of 1.61.Â
SERIES STUFF
DePaul also owns the advantage in the St. John's series, 4-2-1. Alike the series against Butler, three of those wins have come in Lincoln Park.Â
