Trio in a group in 50th place after two rounds

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Carlo Antonio Gatmaytan, Joe McCarthy and Campbell Wolf are all tied for 50th to lead the Blue Demons through two rounds at the Loyola (Md.) Intercollegiate. McCarthy posted the best round by a DePaul player with a two-under score of 70 on Saturday.

McCarthy posted a score of 70 in the second round and is one of three Blue Demons with a 36-hole total of 150 (+6). Wolf shot a 77 (+5) on Saturday and Gatmaytan posted a 76 (+4) with both players also accumulating a two-round score of 150 (+6).

Charlie Spencer-White is a stroke behind the trio after he carded a 75 (+3) in his second circuit at Palm Valley Golf Club. Spencer-White is in a group in 67th place with a two-round score of 151 (+7). Grant Boyson is tied for 92nd place following a 74 (+2) on Saturday for a tournament score of 156 (+12). Perry Chong is playing as an individual and is tied for 84th at 154 (+10). Chong recorded a 75 (+3) in the second round.

The Blue Demon are tied for 14th place with a team score of 598 (+22). DePaul turned in a score of 295 on Saturday after posting a team mark of 303 in the first round. Elon leads the field and is one shot ahead of Loyola (Md.). Loyola's Evan Brown holds a six-shot lead with a two-round score of 135 (-9).
