DePaul to Host Illinois State Tuesday

CHICAGO, Ill. - DePaul will pause league play to host a single game Tuesday evening against Illinois State. First pitch is set for 4:00 p.m. CT at Cacciatore Stadium.
In last weekend's series against Providence that was cut short due to snow, DePaul captured a 8-0 run rule win in the fifth inning as well as a 8-2 victory in the second game of the doubleheader.
Krista Dalgarn's shutout earned her a spot on this week's BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll and Maranda Gutierrez was named the BE Player of the Week after guiding Blue Demon offense over the weekend.
After the second consecutive weekend sweep, DePaul boasts a record of 28-9 (8-1 BIG EAST) on the season.
Last Time Versus Illinois State
DePaul sits 17-19-2 in the series against the 'Birds and has won the last three meetings between the two. The most recent was a 5-1 win in 2017.
Scouting the Redbirds
Illinois State is currently 12-26 (6-5 MVC) after a pair of losses at Missouri State over the weekend.
Leading Redbird offense is Shannon Felde. One of two players to start in all 38 games this season, she has a batting average of .379 in her 116 at bats. Felde has collected seven doubles and one home run this season and has added on 14 RBI.
