Men's Soccer Set for Two Road Contests This Week

CHICAGO - DePaul men's soccer is slated for two road contests this week when they visit non-conference foe Oakland (Mich.) on Tuesday evening before taking the trip to take on BIG EAST opponent Seton Hall Saturday afternoon. The Blue Demons enter this road swing with a 3-3-1 record.Â

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN GRIZZLIES
Oakland enters the week with a 4-2-1 record following a 3-0 defeat of Green Bay giving them a 2-0 record in Horizon League play. The Golden Grizzlies have eight different goal-scorers so far in the season. Cameron Wilde and Evan Sawula lead the team with three goals apiece. Charlie Braithwaite and Dylan Borczak follow with two goals each. Both of Braithwaite's goals have been gamewinners. Sullivan Lauderdale has played every minute in goal for Oakland in all seven games. He holds a 0.93 goals against average to accompany a .767 save percentage and two shutouts.Â
SERIES STUFF
Tuesday marks the third meeting between the two programs. DePaul took the first win in 2011, a 3-1 victory on Wish Field. It would be seven years before the two would play again where the Blue Demons fell 1-0 last season on Wish Field. Â
SCOUTING THE PIRATES
Seton Hall sits 1-4 at this point in the season riding a four game losing streak. Following a 6-0 rout of Central Connecticut State, each game has been decided by one goal. In that rout, Elias Stephens cemented himself as the Pirates' top goal scorer with a hat-trick. Andreas Nota has started and played in all five matches for Seton Hall, making 20 saves for a .800 save percentage with a goals against average of 1.000.Â
SERIES STUFF
This will be the tenth meeting between DePaul and Seton Hall where the Blue Demons look to improve their 5-2-2 overall record against the Pirates. Last season's matchup resulted in a 1-1 draw on Wish Field.Â
