DePaul Drops Conference Contest Saturday

Senior Zach El-Shafei nets his second goal of the season
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - DePaul men's soccer fell 2-1 to conference rival Seton Hall on Saturday evening at Owen T. Carroll Field. DePaul is now 4-4-1 (0-1-1) on the season.
Seton Hall's CJ Tibbing scored early in the 25th minute off a penalty kick following a foul in the box to take the lead.
Despite the Pirate goal, the Blue Demons brought in the equalizer just before halftime with Zach El-Shafei knocking in a goal in the 44th minute with an assist from Jake Fuderer.
A total of 10 shots on the night wouldn't be enough for the Blue Demons to overcome a late goal by the Pirates in the 85th minute to finalize the score at 2-1.

DePaul continues its stretch on the road as the Blue Demons head to Notre Dame on Tuesday, Oct. 1 for a 6 p.m. matchup.
