DePaul Falls to Creighton, 2-0, in BIG EAST Opener

CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer fell to the Creighton Bluejays in their BIG EAST opener on Saturday afternoon, 2-0, in Omaha, Neb.Â
Freshman Skylar Heinrich scored the first goal of the game in the 21st minute for her eighth of the season. That goal would be the difference going into halftime.Â
While DePaul threatened to equalize most of the second half, the Bluejays added an insurance goal in the 77th minute.Â
Mary Tierney, Jessica Lazo and Jade Eriksen-Russo all added two shots on goal for DePaul. Mollie Eriksson made two saves on the night.Â
Katie Sullivan would be forced to make seven saves for Creighton.Â

DePaul will return to Lincoln Park to host their first BIG EAST home match this Thursday against Butler at 3:00 p.m.Â
