Track & Field Set to Compete at GVSU Big Meet

The Blue Demons travel to Michigan after a successful meet in Indiana
CHICAGO – The DePaul track & field team continues its indoor season on Friday at the GVSU Big Meet. Competition is slated to begin at 8 a.m. with the men's 5,000-meter run with field events kicking off with the long jump at 11 a.m. CT.
The Blue Demons travel to Allendale, Mich. after seeing multiple solid performances at the Meyo Invitational last weekend. Junior thrower Jade Gates bested her program record in the weight throw with a dominating 20.19-meter mark widen her lead in the BIG EAST standings. Senior Kyle Mastrangeli also set a new program record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.79 seconds to take the lead in the league.
The men's squad was ranked No. 14 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Midwest Rankings released this week. In addition to Mastrangeli, teammates Henry Larkin (47.18), Ashton Colaire (8.00) and Jason Montano (16.19m) lead the conference in the 400-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles and shot put, respectively.
Traveling for the men will be: Chris Ahlers, Babajide Bamgbose, Dominic Bruce, Kyle Casper, Ashton Colaire, Kolani Cole, Henry Harper, Jules Gueguen, Shane Knanishu, Henry Larkin, Ben Lee, Ben Litwin, Charlie McIntyre, Dominic Marshall, Kyle Mastrangeli, Jason Montano, Alex Murray, Adam Nelson, Michael Parry, Tony Pavloski, Ryan Taylor, Jarel Terry and Brendan van Voorhis.
Traveling for the women's squad will be: Esther Aldana, Dylan Armstrong, Olivia Borowiak, Terece Brown, Ericka Burgess, Tori Carroll, Lorie Cashdollar, Rutendo Chimbaru, Rebecca Chouinard, Lizzie De Joie, Maret Elgren, Jade Gates, Violet Harper, Margaret Hastings, Alexa Havon, Isabel Ingram, Chasady Johnson, Alicia Jones, Kindle Miles, Mackenna Orie, Kiara Pauli, Courtney Pickering, Bella Uscila and Kiersten Walker.
