DePaul Drops Final Game of Samford Tournament in Six

CHICAGO - The DePaul Blue Demons fell to Kentucky for the second time in as many days in six innings on Sunday morning, 9-0. DePaul falls to 6-9 through the first three weekends of tournament play. They head into their lone weekend off.
Senior Krista Dalgarn (4-3) got the nod in the circle and struck out one in Sunday's loss.
The Wildcats used a four run sixth inning to seal the deal after scoring at least one run in every inning but the third.
Kentucky pitcher Meghan Schorman struck out five Blue Demons and allowed just three hits. DePaul junior shortstop Maranda Gutierrez, catcher Jessica Cothern and pitcher Krista Dalgarn accounted for those hits.
When the Blue Demons return, they will head to the Saluki Invitational to face the likes of Western Illinois, IUPUI, Southern Illinois and Northern Illinois.
