Track & Field Travels to Highly-Competitive Meyo Invite

The Blue Demons mark the halfway point of the indoor season
CHICAGO — Reaching the midway point of the indoor season, the DePaul track & field team travels to Notre Dame to compete in the Meyo Invitational on Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8. The two-day meet will kick off on Friday with the women's long jump at 3 p.m. CT. The women's 60-meter hurdle prelims will start the running events at 3:30 p.m.
Sprint semifinals kick off day two of the meet at the Loftus Sports Center before the 3,000-meter run begins at 9:15 a.m. The women's triple jump will lead the field events at 9:30 a.m. CT. ESPN will broadcast the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, 60-meter dash, 400-meter dash, mile run, 800-meter run, 3,000-meter runs and the 1,600-meter relays.
The high-level meet will see teams from all around the nation including Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Iowa, Louisville, Pittsburgh along with BIG EAST competitors Butler, Xavier and Marquette.
The Blue Demons head to the meet having updated three program records and lead the league in the men's 60-meter hurdles (Colaire, 8.00), shot put (Montano, 16.19m), and women's weight throw (Gates, 18.92m).
Traveling for the men will be: Chris Ahlers, Babajide Bamgbose, Kyle Casper, Ashton Claire, Kolani Cole, Henry Harper, Jules Gueguen, Shane Knanishu, Henry Larkin, Ben Lee, Ben Litwin, Charlie McIntyre, Kyle Mastrangeli, Jason Montano, Alex Murray, Adam Nelson, Michael Parry, Tony Pavloski, Ryan Taylor, Jarel Terry and Brendan Van Voorhis.
Traveling for the women will be: Esther Aldana, Dylan Armstrong, Terece Brown, Tori Carroll, Lorie Cashdollar, Rutendo Chimbaru, Rebecca Chouinard, Jade Gates, Violet Harper, Margaret Hastings, Alexa Havon, Isabel Ingram, Chasady Johnson, Mackenna Orie, Kiara Pauli and Kiersten Walker.
