A trip to the BIG EAST Championship rides on the final day of action
CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer heads to Milwaukee to take on Marquette on Thursday evening with hopes to secure a spot in the BIG EAST Championship. With a win, the Blue Demons can secure a spot in the conference tournament as long as the UConn Huskies lose or draw on Thursday or the Providence Friars suffer a loss. Thursday's match will be broadcast on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports presented by SoFi and first touch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
With one game to play in the BIG EAST regular season slate, the Blue Demons are currently tied for seventh place. The top six finishers in the conference advance to the BIG EAST Championship tournament, which begins on Sunday, Oct. 31. The Blue Demons are tied with Marquette in the standings and sit one point behind UConn. The Huskies travel to take on the Georgetown Hoyas, who hold a 7-0-2 conference record, at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday. If UConn suffers a loss or a draw, the Blue Demons will claim the sixth spot in the conference with a win. If UConn loses, the Blue Demons can keep their season alive with a draw.
STUDENT ROAD TRIP
DePaul's Blue Crew is offering a student fan bus option for traveling to the game in Milwaukee. The busses will depart the Sullivan Athletic Center at 4:30 p.m. to head to Valley Fields for the 7:00 p.m. start. To reserve your spot, register here.
