DePaul and Butler will get underway at noon CT
CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer hosts the Butler Bulldogs (7-0, 4-0 BIG EAST) on Sunday afternoon at Wish Field. First touch is scheduled for noon CT. DePaul (2-2, 1-2 BIG EAST) is back in action for the first time since winning its first BIG EAST game of the 2020-21 season, a 2-1 overtime victory against Creighton on Sunday, March 14.
In the first matchup of the season between the two sides back on March 4 in Indianapolis, Butler cruised to a 3-1 win. DePaul's lone tally came on Gwen Walker's first collegiate goal. The Blue Demons lead the all-time series in the matchup with a 5-3-2 record. Butler holds a perfect 7-0 overall record and is coming off of back-to-back 4-0 wins over Xavier and Creighton.
Last Sunday, DePaul defeated Creighton at Wish Field thanks to Morgan Turner's overtime strike that came in the 102nd minute. Turner headed home a cross that came off of the foot of Walker. Kristin Boos provided the other tally of the Blue Demons, a converted header that came in the first five minutes of play.
Turner earned BIG EAST Honor Roll recognition for her performance in the win. Turner earned the honor three times last season and leads the Blue Demons with two goals so far this spring.
