Blue Demons will look for their second win of the season over Creighton
CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer heads to Omaha, Nebraska on Easter Sunday to match up with the Creighton Bluejays. DePaul looks to rack up its second win over Creighton this spring. Morgan Turner sealed the Blue Demons victory back on March 14 with a game-winning goal in overtime to beat the Bluejays.
DePaul (3-4, 2-4 BIG EAST) is looking to break a two-game losing stretch after dropping games to Marquette and Xavier. The last time out, Turner and Bina Saipi scored down the stretch to force overtime against Xavier on senior day but the Musketeers came out on top thanks to a game-winning strike in the extra period.Â
The Blue Demons were more fortunate in overtime on March 14, the last time the squad matched up with Creighton. Turner converted the game-winning header off of a perfect feed from Gwen Walker.Â
DePaul has matched up closely with its conference foes recently as the Blue Demons' last four games have been decided by one goal. Creighton enters Sunday's match with a 3-4 record and a 3-3 clip within conference play. The Bluejays currently sit in second place in the Midwest Division with two BIG EAST regular season contests to play.
