DePaul travels to Bloomington, Ind. for second exhibition match
CHICAGO - DePaul men's soccer heads to Bloomington, Ind. today to take on the Indiana Hoosiers in an exhibition match at 7 p.m. CT. The match serves as the second of three exhibition matches for the Blue Demons prior to the regular season opener on Aug. 26 versus Loyola.
DePaul claimed a 2-1 victory versus Milwaukee in an exhibition on Friday at Wish Field. Seniors Jack Richards and Robert Rao both slotted goals in the Blue Demons 2021 exhibition debut.
Indiana is coming off a 13-2-1 season earlier this spring that saw the Hoosiers claim the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles. Indiana advanced to the NCAA national championship game before falling to Marshall. Indiana has consistently been a leader in collegiate soccer, qualifying for the NCAA tournament in each of the last 34 years.
Following the Blue Demons' trip to Indiana, DePaul will host Wheaton for the squad's final exhibition of the fall. The Blue Demons open the regular season with a six-match stretch of non-conference matchups before the BIG EAST opener versus Connecticut on Sept. 25.
