DePaul Wraps up Exhibition Slate by Hosting Wheaton

Blue Demons look to wrap up the preseason schedule unbeaten
CHICAGO - DePaul men's soccer is set for its final exhibition matchup of the 2021 preseason, a matchup versus Wheaton on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wish Field. The Blue Demons look to stay unbeaten in exhibition play after a win over Milwaukee and a 0-0 draw versus Indiana.
DePaul earned a draw after 110 scoreless minutes versus Indiana, the defending NCAA-runners up, in Bloomington on Monday night. Last Friday, Jack Richards and Rob Rao notched goals in the exhibition opener, a 2-1 win versus Milwaukee.
DePaul and Wheaton are set for a 2 p.m. kickoff in Lincoln Park on Saturday afternoon. The match is the final tune-up for the Blue Demons before the squad begins the 2021 season by hosting Loyola on Thursday, Aug. 26.
WHEATON INFO
- John Gosling took over as interim head coach earlier this week after the resignation of former head coach Jake DeClute
- Wheaton did not compete during the 2020-21 school year but logged a 10-4-4 record back in the fall of 2019
- Wheaton competes in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin within the NCAA's Division III
