DePaul embark on second East Coast roadtrip
CHICAGO - DePaul volleyball forges ahead through conference play as they head east to take on St. John's and Seton Hall. The Blue Demons will meet the Red Storm on Friday, Oct. 13 at Carnesecca Arena at 6 p.m. CT. The trip will close out on Saturday, Oct. 14 with a matchup against the Pirates at Walsh Gymnasium at 6 p.m. CT.
"St John's runs a lot through their three pins and their setters," said head coach Marie Zidek. "Erin Jones does just about everything for that team and is one of the most complete volleyball players in the league. She hits, passes, sets, blocks, and serves. We will need to be willing to go long transitions with this team and win the battle in the transition trenches. They don't give away many points for free."
"Seton Hall will be a lot of the same styles just in different sides of the court. Perri Lucas has traditionally led the charge for them and been a bit of a match up challenge for us. We will need to win the transition and serve receive battle to grab a win on the road. They play really well at home so we know we need to come fueled and ready to go."
