Blue Demons Host Villanova for Senior Day

CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer hosts their final home game of the 2023 season at Wish Field, Sunday, Oct. 22 against Villanova. Kickoff is slated for 12:30 p.m. CT. The team will also be celebrating Senior Day with a ceremony starting at 12:20. The match can be streamed on the BIG EAST Digital Network and Marquee Sports Network.

DePaul (5-6-4, 1-4-3 BIG EAST) hosts Villanova, after drawing with Creighton, 1-1, on Thursday, Oct. 18. The Blue Jays were first on the board, but sophomore forward Freya Jupp found the equalizer in the second half to earn a point for DePaul.

Villanova (4-5-7, 1-5-2 BIG EAST) arrives at Lincoln Park off a 0-4 loss against UConn. The Wildcats currently sit at 11th in the BIG EAST rankings. So far this season, Villanova has defeated opponents like Seton Hall, George Mason and Temple.

The Wildcats lead the all-time series against DePaul, 10-9-1. The last meeting between the two programs took place on Oct. 23, 2022 when the Blue Demons were held off by Villanova, 2-1.
