Pressly leads team in kills, Oxley records five blocks
CHICAGO - DePaul volleyball fell to No. 15 Creighton at home, 3-0 (22-25, 26-28, 20-25), Saturday night. Â
DePaul (10-7, 3-3 BIG EAST) was led by Jill Pressly who tallied 12 kills and chipped in two service aces. Aly Kindelberger and Audrey Klemp chipped in six kills each.
Rachel Krasowski totaled 15 digs while Ashley Cudiamat and Maggie Jones recorded 13 and 16 assists, respectively. Sophomore Katelynn Oxley led the squad at the net with five total blocks, two of which were solos.Â
"That was truly a competitive match, said head coach Marie Zidek. "Super fun to battle for both teams. Both teams served each other well and battled at the net. In the end, we had opportunities to close in the red zone and came up short. If we can build on this volleyball played today, and the way we responded from the Marquette match, the rest of October is out there for the taking. The challenge is continuing to reach for more in training. There is so much on the line in the next six matches, and we are excited to continue reaching for more."
Creighton (13-4, 4-2 BIG EAST) was led by Destin Ndam-Simpson with 16 kills.

SET THREE: The Blue Demons opened the set on an 8-3 run, highlighted by two straight aces from Scholz.
