
Blue Demons Travel to Clarke Wood Open

DePaul partakes in final regular season outdoor meet
CHICAGO – DePaul track and field embarks on their final meet before the championship portion of their season on Friday. The Blue Demons will head to Louisville, Ky. for the Clarke Wood Open, hosted by the University of Louisville.
ÂAction begins on Friday at 10:00 a.m. CT with Billie Martin tackling the women's hammer throw. Alex Bernstein has placed first in the last three meets he has participated in and will look to continue his hot streak in the men's hammer throw at 1 p.m.
ÂField events continue throughout the afternoon with the men and women's long jump, and close out on Friday with discus throws.
ÂEvents in the oval on Friday will begin at 3:30 p.m. CT with the men and women's 800m and the 200m run. Friday's slate will end with Darius Brown and Grant Fuller in the 400m hurdles event.Â
ÂSaturday will begin at 9:00 a.m. CT in the field with Charlotte Anderson in the javelin throw and Eveline Reno in the high jump. Triple jump, shot put and the men's high jump events will round out the field competition.
ÂSaturday's running events will be highlighted by the men's 1500m run in which Shane Knanishu and Damian Rodriguez will both be competing in. Knanishu and Rodriguez both broke the program record just two hours apart at the Bryan Clay Invitational in California on Saturday, April 15.
ÂDarius Brown will look to add to his successful hurdles season as he competes in the men's 110m hurdles. Relay teams for both the 4x100m and 4x400m will see action on Saturday as they gear up for the BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 12 and 13.
