Four-run fourth lifts Blue Demons to win on Saturday afternoon
CHICAGO -- DePaul softball closed the weekend on a high note, claiming a 6-4 win over Creighton in Saturday's series finale at Cacciatore Stadium. The two squads each hung an early run before the Blue Demons plated four in the fourth inning to ultimately put the game out of reach for the Bluejays.

Riley Pool and Tori Meyer each knocked in a pair of runs as Meyer went 2-for-3 on the afternoon including a solo home run in the sixth inning while Pool capped the fourth-inning surge with a two-run single.

First baseman Brooke Johnson strung together a 2-for-3 outing of her own and provided DePaul's early tally on a triple down the right field line to score Addison Talbot. On the series, Johnson maintained an average of .600 with a three hits and three RBIs while drawing three walks.
