The Blue Demons Open their home slate with a match vs. Green Bay
CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer (1-1) hosts Green Bay (0-2) tomorrow Friday, Aug. 25 for their home opener. Kick off is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT. Fans can stream the match here.
The Blue Demons open their home slate against Green Bay after earning their first victory of the season against RV Samford last Sunday 2-1. DePaul was down 0-1 by the end of the first half but freshman forward Mya Gardner found the equalizer to tie the game in the beginning of the second 45 minutes. Returning veteran captain Ellie Mink pushed DePaul ahead with a game winning header in the 76th minute to secure the win.
Green Bay arrives at Wish Field off a 0-1 loss against Drake. Last Friday, the team opened their regular season with a matchup against Kansas State but fell 1-4.
The last matchup between the Blue Demons and Green Bay took place in Wis. on Sept. 11, 2014 and resulted in a 1-1 draw. DePaul leads the all-time series 5-1-3.
