CHICAGO, ILL. - After a hard-fought first half, DePaul women's soccer ultimately dropped Sunday's matchup against RV, Xavier, 3-0. DePaul (4-3-1) totaled three first-half saves, before ultimately giving up two goals in the second period. Â
Xavier (7-2-1) took the 1-0 lead early in the first half with a penalty kick in the seventh minute of the game. The Blue Demon defense shut down any remaining threat by the Musketeers for the rest of the period. DePaul's offense threatened in the 29th minute with a shot by Susie Soderstrom that was ultimately blocked by the Xavier goalie. Â
The Musketeers continued to dominate possession in the second period, taking a total of 17 shots. Xavier's goals came in the 59th and 65th minutes. Â
DePaul's Elena Milam totaled 10 saves while Ellie Mink had a team-high two shots. Â

The Blue Demons continue BIG EAST play with a road trip to Georgetown on Oct. 1. Game time is set for 12 p.m. Â
