DePaul Hosts Chicagoland Rival UIC

CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer (2-1-1) faces off against Chicagoland rival UIC (1-2-2) on Thursday, Sept. 7 for a 4 p.m. matchup. Fans can stream the match here.

The Blue Demons look to nab another win after defeating EKU 2-1 last Thursday. The two programs each made one connection in the first 45 minutes and went into the half tied 1-1. They continued to fight until a cross by freshman Lea Eisenring connected to Smyth who broke through and generated the game winning goal in the 81st minute.

UIC arrives at Wish Field off a 1-1 draw against Kansas City. So far this season, the Flames have challenged opponents like Miami Ohio, Marquette, and Wisconsin.

Thursday's meeting will be the third match between the Blue Demons and the Flames. DePaul leads the all-time series 2-0 after defeating the Flames at UIC 1-0 on Aug. 25, 2022.

UIC NOTES

Head coach David Nikolic enters his third season at the helm of UIC women's soccer.
Last season the Flames finished with a 5-6-6 record overall and a 5-2-3 conference record.
The Flames were slotted third overall in the MVC preseason poll.
This season UIC signed five commits to their 2023 roster
