DePaul Welcomes Loyola Chicago for a Red Line Rivalry

CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer (3-1-1) welcomes Loyola (3-4) for a red line rivalry match at 1 p.m. CT at Wish Field. Fans can stream the match here.

The Blue Demons are aiming to stay in the win column after achieving their third victory of the season after defeating Chicagoland rival, UIC, 1-0 this past Thursday. Goalkeeper Elena Milam earned her first career shutout and midfielder captain Beth Smyth notched her second game winning goal of the season.

Sunday's match is DePaul's Cancer Awareness game. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and opportunities to write letters to cancer patients at the American Cancer society will be provided to the general public upon entry.

The Ramblers arrive at Lincoln Park off a 1-4 loss against Kansas last Sunday. So far this season, Loyola has collected wins against Toledo, Western Illinois, and Ball State.

Loyola leads the all-time series against DePaul 11-9-2. The last meeting between the two teams took place on Sep. 8, 2022 when the Ramblers defeated the Blue Demons 1-2.

Head coach Barry Bimbi enters his 13th season at the helm of Loyola Chicago women's soccer.
Last season the Ramblers posted a 8-8-3 record overall and a 4-5-1 conference record.
Loyola Chicago added nine newcomers to their 2023 roster including one transfer from Lewis University.
The Ramblers welcomed back 20 letter winners from their past season's team.
