Blue Demons Visit Villanova in BIG EAST Showdown

DePaul travels to Pennsylvania to take on Wildcats
VILLANOVA, Pa. – DePaul women's soccer hits the road to take on Villanova on Thursday, Oct. 3, in its third BIG EAST Conference match this season. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CT at Higgins Soccer Complex, with live streaming available on the BIG EAST Digital Network/FloSports and live stats on StatBroadcast.
After going unbeaten in four of its last five matches and securing three shutouts in that stretch, DePaul (2-5-3, 0-1-1 BIG EAST) looks to continue its strong form in conference play. Last time out, the Blue Demons drew with BIG EAST Preseason No. 4 Butler, shutting out the Bulldogs for the third time this season and outshooting them 9-2 in the second half, tying DePaul's largest margin this year.
Villanova (4-5-2, 1-1-1 BIG EAST) enters Thursday's match following a 3-0 loss to then-No. 21 Xavier on Sunday, Sept. 29. The Wildcats have managed just one win in their last seven matches, a 2-0 victory over Creighton on Thursday, Sept. 26. Lauren Belcuore and Gabby Koluch each scored in that win, with Susanna Soderman adding her team-high third assist of the season.
