Gandini, Torres Almeida look toward weekend tournament competition
HOLLAND, Mich. – Reigning BIG EAST Player of the Year Alejandro Gandini and senior Pablo Torres Almeida headline DePaul men's tennis at the Hope College Invitational, hosted by Michigan State. Competition runs from Friday, Oct. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 5.
Tournament play will take place at both the DeWitt Tennis Center and the Vande-Poel Heeringa Courts.
The format will feature a six-game set of doubles followed by two singles matches, with a 10-point tiebreaker in place of a third set. If the Blue Demons win two of the three matches, they advance to the next round.
The last time DePaul competed in a tournament hosted by Michigan State was in 2012, when the ITA Midwest Regionals were held in East Lansing.
