DePaul Storms into NCAA West Prelims in College Station

Historic lineup set to compete for Blue Demons
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – A school-record 11 Blue Demons are set to compete at the NCAA Division I West Preliminary Rounds this week, as DePaul Track & Field heads to College Station, Texas, for four days of competition beginning Wednesday, May 28. Action will take place at Texas A&M's E.B. Cushing Stadium, and continues through Saturday, with top-12 finishers in each event punching a ticket to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oreg.
Fans can follow the action live each evening on ESPN+, with coverage beginning at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday and Thursday, and 5 p.m. CT on Friday and Saturday. Click here for live results, streaming information, and more.
All-American Darius Brown returns for his fourth consecutive trip to the regional stage, leading the Blue Demons in both the 110m hurdles and the 4x100m relay. He is joined by Alex Bernstein in the hammer throw and Jaiah Hopf in the triple jump. Kash Allen also returns in the shot put after claiming her third BIG EAST title earlier this month. The other seven student-athletes will make their NCAA postseason debuts.
DePaul's qualifiers span all five event areas: sprints, distance, throws, jumps, and relays. Their performances this spring helped lift the Blue Demons to one of the most successful conference meets in program history.
On Wednesday, Alex Bernstein will open the competition in the men's hammer throw at 10 a.m. Jaiden Gary will follow in the men's shot put at 6 p.m., alongside Darius Brown in the 110m hurdles. Demetrius Rolle will race in the men's 100m at 7 p.m., with Dustin Hudak wrapping up the night in the men's 800m at 7:50 p.m. On Thursday, Kash Allen is scheduled to compete in the women's shot put at 6 p.m.
On Friday, the men's 4x100m relay team of Dominic Cole, Charles Lewis, Demetrius Rolle, and Darius Brown will line up at 5 p.m. Should they advance, Brown will return for the 110m hurdles quarterfinal at 6:15 p.m., Rolle for the 100m quarterfinal at 6:35 p.m., and Hudak for the 800m quarterfinal at 7:05 p.m.
On Saturday, Jessica Beckman will throw in the women's discus at 1 p.m., followed by Jaiah Hopf in the triple jump at 2:30 p.m. and Tessa Roe in the 3000m steeplechase quarterfinal at 5:40 p.m.
