DePaul Welcomes UIC to Wish Field Thursday Afternoon

Blue Demons look to stay unbeaten against the Flames
CHICAGO – In match three of four in its homestand, DePaul women's soccer hosts cross-town rival UIC on Sept. 4 at 12:30 p.m. CT to open a doubleheader at Wish Field. Men's soccer will also face UIC later that afternoon at 4 p.m. CT. Both matches will stream live on Marquee Sports Network. Admission is free for all matches at Wish Field this fall.
The Blue Demons (2-3) continue their homestand after back-to-back setbacks to Loyola Chicago and Illinois. DePaul owns wins at Purdue and against Chicago State and looks to close non-conference play on a strong note before BIG EAST competition begins.
UIC (1-4-1) comes into the matchup with a road win at Eastern Michigan and a scoreless draw against Chicago State this season. The Flames were picked second in the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Poll and had four players named to the Preseason All-MVC list, led by first-team selections Riley Collett and Francesca Faraci.

- David Nikolic enters his fifth season at the helm, previously at Northwestern and Milwaukee,
- The Flames are 1-4-1 overall, with a 1-0 win at Eastern Michigan and a scoreless draw with Chicago State.
- Picked second in the MVC Preseason Poll with one first-place vote.
- Senior Riley Collett earned Preseason All-MVC First Team recognition after leading UIC with four goals and three assists last year.
- Graduate goalkeeper Francesca Faraci, also a Preseason First Team honoree, ranked top-five in the MVC in goals against average, save percentage, and shutouts per game in 2024.
- Senior Sophia Jaime set UIC's single-season shots record (46) last year, while captain Hannah Gryzik ranked second on the team in points (6).
- Through six matches, UIC has been outscored 9-2 while averaging 8.3 shots per game.
