DePaul Softball Set for Home Series Against Georgetown

Blue Demons continue BIG EAST play this weekend
CHICAGO – DePaul softball continues its homestand this weekend with a BIG EAST series against Georgetown March 13–14.
Due to expected inclement weather in the area, the series will now begin with a doubleheader on Friday. First pitch for game one is set for 1 p.m. CT, with game two scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. The series finale will be played Saturday, with first pitch still scheduled for 12 p.m. Admission at Cacciatore Stadium is free for all fans.
Friday's doubleheader will be aired live on Marquee Sports Network while Saturday's matchup will be streamed live on ESPN+. Live stats can be followed here.

Demon Doings
- DePaul is 10–14 this season and opened BIG EAST play last weekend by going 1–2 against Villanova, with Sunday's win snapping a 14-game losing streak against the Wildcats dating back to 2022.
- Sophomore outfielder Jolie Adams leads the Blue Demons with a .431 batting average after going 6-for-9 at the plate last weekend.
- Junior Morgan Rogers went 8-for-12 against Villanova with five extra-base hits, extended her hitting streak to seven games, recorded a double in seven straight games, and earned BIG EAST Honor Roll recognition for the first time in her career.
- Chelsea Parker leads the BIG EAST with 25 RBIs this season.
- Senior pitcher Kelly Greene led DePaul in the circle last weekend by allowing two earned runs across three appearances while recording eight strikeouts.
- As a team, DePaul ranks second in the BIG EAST with 34 doubles this season.
- Georgetown enters the weekend with a 6–5 record and opens BIG EAST play in the series against DePaul.
- Georgetown has three hitters batting above .340, led by sophomore Nina Sarlo at .353, followed by Claire Turner and Emily Strittmatter at .342.
- The Hoyas pitching staff leads the BIG EAST with a 3.16 ERA, and freshman pitcher Catherine Larson leads the BIG EAST individually with a 2.74 ERA.
- Karla Ross is in her second season as Georgetown's head coach. Ross served as DePaul's associate head coach in 2024.
