CHICAGO (AP) -- Felicia Chester collected 15 points and four others teammates also scored in double-figures as the No. 13/18 DePaul women's basketball team claimed a 90-43 nonconference victory over New Jersey Institute of Technology on Thursday at McGrath Arena.
The win was 15th in 16 games and fifth straight for the Blue Demons (18-2) who never trailed.
DePaul's 47-point victory was its biggest of the season while Katherine Harry had 14 points and season-high 14 rebounds for her seventh career double-double. Anna Martin added 13 while Keisha Hampton and Taylor Pikes had 12 and 10 points, respectively.
NJIT's Jessica Gerald had a game-high 21 points for the Highlanders (5-11) who entered with a two-game winning streak.
The game, the first meeting between the teams, was originally scheduled for Dec. 29 but an East Coast snowstorm prevented the Highlanders from leaving Newark, N.J., leading to the rescheduling.
DePaul's lead reached double-digits at 16-5, less than five minutes into the game on Hampton's steal and layup. The Highlanders used a 7-0 run midway through the half to temporarily trim the deficit to 24-16 with 10 minutes.
The Blue Demons responded with a 14-0 run which pushed their lead past 20 points at 38-16. Back-to-back Sam Quigley 3-pointers in the final 1:28 gave the Blue Demons a 54-25 halftime lead, only the second time they topped 50 first-half points this season.
DePaul opened the second half with an 11-0 run for a 65-25 advantage and the lead never dipped below 33 points.
The Blue Demons outscored the Highlanders 56-18 in the paint, out rebounded NJIT 57-27 and had a 21-7 assist advantage.
The Highlanders' Gerard built her production on 3-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc and was also 10 of 10 on free throws.
Thursday's game was the 150th at McGrath Arena which is located on DePaul's Lincoln Park campus. The Blue Demons are 129-21 (.860) at the facility, which replaced Alumni Hall in 2000-01.
DePaul is 11-0 this season at home and hosts Seton Hall when it resumes BIG EAST Conference play Jan. 22. Saturday's game tips at 7 p.m. and is apart of DePaul's Hall of Fame weekend.
