The Blue Demons fell in three sets at Butler for the final road match of the season.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Blue Demons fell in three sets against Butler in DePaul's final road match of the season 0-3 (22-25, 12-25, 16-25). This drops DPU's record to 5-22 (3-13 BIG EAST).

DePaul jumped out to a 3-0 lead on kills from Claire Anderson and Ashley Marshall along with a Butler attack error. The Bulldogs tacked on a couple of points before the Blue Demons went on a 4-0 run to widen the lead 7-2. A burst of momentum from Butler would find 11's across the board for the first tie of the stanza and in a back-and-forth fashion, the score would bind eight more times before DePaul called a timeout being down 21-20. Out of the stoppage, Butler was able to hold DPU and take the first set 25-22.

Butler jumped out to a 2-0 lead but DePaul responded with a 2-0 run of its own to knot the score. Like the first stanza, the points exchanged back and forth between sides early on in the set until Butler inched away into a comfortable lead. The Bulldogs would take the second set 25-12.

Butler went on a 4-1 run to gain an early advantage in the third set and would stretch out the lead to 9-2, forcing a DePaul timeout. The Bulldogs were able to hold the lead, going on to take the final set 25-16.

DePaul will host St. John's on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:00 p.m. and Seton Hall Saturday, Nov. 17 at 6:00 p.m. for Senior Day.
