
Women's Soccer Hits the Road for Providence, Villanova

CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer, now tied for second place in the BIG EAST, is headed on a two-game road swing to Providence and Villanova. The Blue Demons (5-5-2, 2-1-0) take on the Friars on Thursday before their tilt against the Wildcats on Sunday.

Morgan Turner leads the Blue Demons with five goals and 10 points. Kristin Boos is right behind her with three goals and eight points. Boos and Jade Eriksen-Russo have both tallied two assists so far this season. Mollie Eriksson owns a goals against average of 0.96 to accompany a save percentage of 0.760 with five shutouts under her belt.

The Friars hold a record of 7-4-1 and 2-1-0 in conference are also tied for second place in the BIG EAST. Xavier rounds out the tie for second place. Hannah McNulty and Elayna Grillakis sit atop of the team both with five goals and ten points while Olivia Lucia's two assists lead the team in that category. Shelby Hogan has played in all 12 matches for Providence making 64 total saves for a 0.853 save percentage and a 0.88 goals against average.

Villanova currently sits at 5-4-3 and 1-1-1 in conference play. Brice McInroy's five goals lead the team and with her one assist has 11 points so far this season. Chloe O'Neill has dished out four assists. The goalkeeping duties have been split between Rebecca Gartner and Hensley Hancuff. Gartner has played seven games, picked up 35 saves and two shutouts while Hancuff has made 22 saves and picked up three shutouts in her six games in goal.
