Softball Opens BIG EAST Play at Butler

CHICAGO, Ill. - The DePaul softball program exits tournament play with an overall record of 19-8 and will open BIG EAST play this weekend as they take on the Bulldogs in three contests at Butler.
On Saturday, the two will compete in a doubleheader beginning at noon and will then play a lone Sunday game at noon.
Last Time Versus Butler
DePaul holds a 13-5 advantage in the series against Butler and has won the last three meetings between the two, with the latest being last year in a 9-3 victory and season sweep over the Bulldogs on Senior Day at Cacciatore Stadium.
Scouting The Bulldogs
Butler was picked to finish fifth this year in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll, one spot below DePaul, who was picked to finish fourth.
The Bulldogs are currently 9-17 overall after wrapping up tournament play last weekend in the 2019 USF Series where they defeated La Salle and fell to North Florida, Princeton, South Florida and Minnesota.
Putting up an impressive performance on the mound is Jenna Foreman. In her 88 plate appearances, she slugs a .341 and has totaled 30 hits and 17 runs. She has also contributed two RBI for the Bulldogs.
In the circle, Alyssa Graves leads with three wins and six losses. In her 15 appearances, she has allowed 72 hits and 36 runs.
