Game 1 - DePaul 8, Butler 5
In the first game of the day, Butler brought in the first run in the top of the second, however, DePaul was quick to respond when Morgan Greenwood struck a two-RBI double in the top of the third to score Kate Polucha and Madison Fisher and spark a Blue Demon lead.
In the top of the third, Skylor Hilger launched her second homerun of the season to make it 3-1 DePaul.

In the bottom half of the inning, the Bulldogs would cut away at the deficit to make it a single-run difference, however, DePaul would jump back ahead and keep the lead in the top of the sixth. Erin Andris and Angela Scalzitti were walked before Andris scored on a single from Gabby O'Riley. Polucha reached on a fielder's choice, advancing Young to third and scoring Scalzitti. With more to come in the sixth inning, Taylor Young scored as Morgan Greenwood reached on a fielding error to put DePaul up 7-3.
Butler would score its final two runs of the game in the bottom of the sixth to close in on the deficit once again, but DePaul would bring in an insurance run in the top of the seventh to seal the deal after Alysia Rodriguez doubled deep into center field and scored on a single from Andris.
Game 2- DePaul 6, Butler 3
Two consecutive homeruns gave DePaul the early lead in the second game of the day. In the top of the first, Scalzitti singled to shortstop and was then scored on a homerun from Jessica Cothern. Gabby O'Riley stepped up to the plate next and launched a solo shot that brought the Blue Demons a 3-0 advantage.
In the top of the second, Rodriguez singled down the right field line and after advancing her way to third, was scored on a pop up from Cothern.
With Butler remaining scoreless, DePaul would add on another run in the top of the fourth after Cothern singled through the left side and eventually scored on a deep double from Polucha.
In the bottom half of the inning, Butler would put up its first run and DePaul would not respond until the top of the seventh when Greenwood launched a solo homerun.
Butler would bring in its last two runs in the bottom of the seventh but could not surpass DePaul.
