CHICAGO - DePaul men's soccer fell to Loyola 4-2 on Friday evening at Loyola Soccer Park
Playing defensively for a majority of the night, DePaul would give up the first goal in the 30th minute. The team would try and regroup after halftime but the Ramblers controlled the game.
Loyola would get a quick pair of back-to-back goals in the 76th and 77th minutes to take a 3-0 lead.
Despite the score, the Blue Demons wouldn't back down. Max de Bruijne chipped away at the score with a header off a Jake Fuderer corner kick in the 81st minute.
A minute later, a yellow card would be issued to Loyola resulting in a penalty kick. de Bruijne would successfully convert the PK and bring DePaul within one, 3-2. Those goals would mark the senior's second and third goals of the season.
Loyola would add an insurance goal in the 86th minute.
