CHICAGO -Â DePaul men's soccer faces intercity rival UIC in a 7:00 p.m. matchup at Flames Field in an early week contest before the start of league play Friday.

The Blue Demons sit second in the league in assists, while Max de Bruijne and Jake Fuderer are sitting tied for third most assists in the league.

SCOUTING THE FLAMES
The Flames sit at 4-1 so far this season with their sole loss to Ohio State. Â UIC has seven different goal scorers with Bar Hazut's five goals leading the team. Jesus Perez and Bukola Abdulwahab have both registered a team-leading three assists. Sokratis Vasilas has played all five matches in between the posts for the Flames for a goals against average of 0.77 and a 0.818 save percentage.

This is the 30th all-time meeting between the intercity rivals. The Flames have the advantage, 16-11-3. Last season, DePaul fell 2-0 in a physical battle on Wish Field.

DePaul men's soccer fell to Loyola 4-2 on Friday evening at Loyola Soccer Park

Playing defensively for a majority of the night, DePaul would give up the first goal in the 30th minute. The team would try and regroup after halftime, but the Ramblers controlled the game.

Loyola would get a quick pair of back-to-back goals in the 76th and 77th minutes to take a 3-0 lead. Despite the score, the Blue Demons wouldn't back down. Max de Bruijne chipped away at the score with a header off a Jake Fuderer corner kick in the 81st minute.

A minute later, a yellow card would be issued to Loyola resulting in a penalty kick. de Bruijne would successfully convert the PK and bring DePaul within one, 3-2. Those goals would mark the senior's second and third goals of the season.
