Men's Tennis Hits the Road Friday to Face Illinois State

Blue Demons off to a 2-1 start in the dual-match season
CHICAGO – The DePaul men's tennis team hits the road Friday for a 1 p.m. match against Illinois State at the Bloomington Tennis & Turf indoor facility.
The Blue Demons are off to a promising 2-1 start in this dual-match pandemic season, defeating Illinois-Chicago 7-0 and Creighton 6-1 in their BIG EAST opener and falling 6-1 at Western Michigan.
Tamas Zador tops the singles chart with a 2-0 record while brothers Fran and Vito Tonejc along with Tripp Tuff are 2-1.
Coach Matt Brothers' team also features a pair of undefeated doubles teams with Lars Peder Minsaas and Luuk Wassenaar plus Christopher Casati and Boris Spanjaard starting out 2-0. The Tonejc tandem is 2-1.
This will be the home opener for ISU (1-8) after playing its first nine matches on the road.
The Redbirds have lost twice to Notre Dame and No. 25 Kentucky and once to Tulsa, Arkansas, Middle Tennessee State and Vanderbilt. Their victory came at UIC.
